Quinoa Lunch Idea - 1  Curd Quinoa With all the health talk going around these days, complex carbs, lot of fiber and what not, quinoa is being seen in many recommendations of healthy food habit. So, I am going to be sharing a lunch idea with the quinoa as the main dish. As you can see in the picture, the menu is made of: Quinoa, Lady's Finger Curry, Egg Fry, Curd Quinoa. How to cook quinoa? Follow the recipe in the quinoa box. In fact, its very easy and fast to cook. Since quinoa is a little bland and more chewy than rice, I made this Lady's Finger Curry using the recipe from Padhu's Kitchen , except I reduced the cumin powder, as I do not like the intense flavor it brings out. With the tomato & masala cooked together, this curry will go well with quinoa. Breakfast Idea: Ven Pongal + Coconut Chutney Who does not like a delicious ven pongal, on a morning, followed by an aromatic filter coffee.. Here I made Ven Pongal in pressure cooker, sided it with Coconut chutney, unlike the usual sambhar way. Believe me, it will sweep you off your feet.  For ven pongal, followed this recipe to the T:  Ven Pongal Recipe To make coconut chutney, add the below ingredients in a mixie jar and grind, grind, grind..  Coconut, Roasted Bengal Gram ( பொட்டுக்கடலை ), Some Ginger, Few Garlic pods , Salt, Curry Leaves, Fennel Seeds.

எங்கிருந்தோ வந்தாள் அவள்.. நன்றாக நினைவில் உள்ளது. அவளாகவே எங்கள் வீட்டுக்கு வந்தாள். நாங்கள் அவளை துரத்தி விடவில்லை. தயிர் சாதமும் பாலும் தந்தோம். பின், எங்களுள் ஒருவளாகி விட்டாள். என்னோடும், என் தங்கையோடும் சேர்ந்து தோசை கூட சாப்பிட ஆரம்பித்து விட்டிருந்தாள். இவள் இனத்தவர் தோசை கூட சாப்பிடுவார்களா என்ற கேள்வி இன்னும் என்னுள் உள்ளது. நானோ என் தங்கையோ இருந்தால் போதும், எங்கு போனாலும் எங்கள் காலுக்குள்ளே தான் சுற்றுவாள். உட்காந்து இருக்கையில் பக்கத்திலேயே இருப்பாள். அவள் தலையால் கையைத் தேய்த்துத் தேய்த்து தடவி விட சொல்வாள்.  அவள் தூங்குவதைப் பார்க்க எனக்கு ரொம்ப பிடிக்கும். மிக அழகாகத்  தூங்குவாள் அவள். வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தால் எனது அல்லது என் தங்கையின் மடியே மெத்தையாக இருக்கும். பூனைக்  குட்டி அவ்வளவு பாசமாக இருக்க முடியும் என்பதை நிரூபணம் செய்தவள் .. ஒரு நாள், எதோ காரணத்தால் மறைந்து போனாள்.. எங்கள் கண்களில் தென்படாமல்..  She could lighten the mood, however troubled we were .. Such a great pal.. She will be remembered forever..
